Widescreen mode

Hello all simtropians !! I can´t run sim city 4 in widescreen mode( 1600x900), I have tried all the methods, changed the in game video settings(to 1660.900), changed the config file(notepad file in apps folder), tried to execute the shortcut(C:arquivos de programas/maxis/..., anyway, nothing of it worked. The game was running quite good, I have added some new plugins, might be that? the plugins are staples center and 2 other buildings in the 1st page of stex. Is there a way that widescreen works?? please help guys !

This works for me and many others:

C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps\SimCity 4.exe -w -intro:off -CustomResolution:enabled -r1600x900

Make sure there is a space at the end of .exe before adding parameters, the greyed text is optional -w is windowed.
