Overhanging props?

Hi! Im not sure if this is the right forum to post in but does anyone know how to make props overhang the lot? I tried to get it to work but everytime I try to save the lot, LE always tells me I cannot save a lot with objects over the lots edge. Also, can I place entire props outside the lot boundaries instead of having them partially in and out of the lot like overhanging lots. Thanks!

1. This probably belongs in the Mod or BAT forum. Maybe a moderator can move this appropriately.

2. Props cannot be outside the lot. they must be at least partial inside the lot.

3. I'd have to see what prop you're working with and how you're trying to place it on the lot to be more helpful. A picture from in the LE would help.

4. If you look at one of my train trestles, you'll see the prop is 4x1 tiles but is set on a 1x1 lot.

5. However, the lot size must be at least the size of the prop initially (in the LE) to add the prop to the lot. Then you can re-size the lot.

6. Overhanging props are generally made offset from center so they extend beyond the lot boundaries fooling the LE into thinking at least half of the prop is on the lot.

7. Best advice: Look at numerous lots with over-hanging props using the LE to see how it's done. Good luck.
