 I have downloaded the 747 gates and was wondering if there was a way to make your own custom airline.

Do not tell me to use the BAT, because for some reason it won't stay open for more than about 3 seconds. Any help with either of these would be greatly appreciated.

The only way I know of would be to re-texture the original model. For this you would require the unrendered model (a gmax file) and a working BAT, unfortunately you don't have a working BAT and are very unlikely to have the model. To query why your version of the BAT doesn't work, I have some questions:

What operating system do you use?

Have you properly updated the game and have you correctly installed GMax?

(just had to reinstall)

You're lucky, because it seems like the vast majority of gmax tutorials available online are for making aircraft.

A quick google of "gmax aircraft tutorial" turns up numerous results. I'd suggest following one of them step-by-step, to get used to working in gmax/BAT as well as to learn what to do...
