Too bad.  You and we are members of the Commonwealth of Nations, and it is too bad you are against one of our better export products as you would get a "most favoured nation" discount on a CANDU power system and probably on the fuel as well.  An idle CANDU is not hot enough to light a match, but once it is started, it is just as hot as any power nuke.  Uses a lot of heavy water, but sitting in the ocean as you are, all you need is an extraction plant, which we would be happy to help you build.  As they say in Quebec, "C'est la vie".

Interesting that you are doing a seaborne power plant in Cooke Straight.  Do you have any tidal bores along the coast?  With all that mountain building you've been having in the current geologic era, you should have some interesting fjords.

Meanwhile, I am planning some NZ lamb medallions for Sunday dinner this week.  You people really freeze them hard and it will take overnight at least to thaw them out.  I'll get them out of the freezer tonight (Friday) before bed.  I'll be doing them up with rosemary and garlic, and serving with mashed potatos and something green.
