Cities XL Crash Issue

This is going to be a very detailed description of my problem.

Basic summary:  One of my cities crashes on start-up no matter what.

Why I think its doing that:  Okay, I only played cities XL 2009 after it went single player, and in the single player version of that game, blueprints didn't take very long at all and when I went to place my first blueprints in XL 2011, I saw that it was saying it would take 11 hours.  I wanted to see if this was truly the case, so I saved my game and just placed one to see how long it would take.  Surely enough, it was going to take a decent amount of time.  So I just loaded the game (the one before I place the blueprint because I wasn't quite ready to dedicate the needed resources to it).  When I loaded the game the blueprint (European Soccer Field) wasn't there anymore but, I looked at my blueprint progression menu, and it still showed up there.  I said huh, and said oh well, at least its not still in my city.  But then I noticed, when I was ready to place it, the Soccer Field wasn't showing up in my list of buildable blueprints.  This made me sad, because I was afraid I would never be able to build it but oh well right?  I just placed the football field instead. When I looked at the blueprints progression menu, both the soccer field and the football field were showing up now.  When I clicked on the football field, the soccer field materials and menu showed up.  I thought this might be a problem but I moved on anyway.  As progress was made, in the blueprint menu, BOTH of them were showing progression.  I.E. when I was 5% done, both the soccer field and the football field, in the blueprint menu, showed up as 5% done.  Another curious issue was that no matter how far the blueprint progressed, it never showed any progress on the map.  I never got a message telling me that it made moved on to the next stage or whatever that message says.  Well I got it to stage 3 (still looked like the basic football stadium ploppable).  I left the game running and went to watch the Rangers beat the Yankees (yay) and when I got back I saw that the game has crashed, which happens rather often anyway so I wasn't concerned.  When I tried to load that city, it just crashes at the same point in its loading every time.  I'm pretty sure it must have finished the blueprint and crashed.  I think it finished because all the stuff I had imported from my other cities for the construction of phase 3 was showing up as extra in the trade menu.  Also, I built the Chrysler Building at the same time, and it finished with no problems at all.  And it was pretty.

I was really rather attached to that city and I would like to be able to load it again.  Any help would be just lovely.
