    I looked on the Focus Home website at the system requirements and the recommended graphics card and it says i need a ATI Radeon HD 3850. Currently on my desktop I have a ATI Radeon HD 2400 ( and the appropriate DirectX). But things get more complicated. My current computer won't take a 3850 because of the power supply (only 250W). Is a 3850 necessary for good gameplay in CXL 2011?

    Buy a new power supply and get a decent video card like the 4850.

    If you have a bigger budget you can check out the new Nvidia cards and ATi's 5000 series.

    I believe that gameplay in XL2011 will not be acceptable performance wise with a 2400. I know people with much more powerful video cards that still suffer slow down when the city gets to a decent size, anywhere from 50k to several million and there are people that complain that it's lagging for them, and they have a much better video card than the 2400, so I do not think you will be very satisfied with the performance of XL11 using the 2400 video card.
