Here is Saint James Isalnd:

was the first human settlement in the area, and for years people lived only on the island for security reasons.

Therefor, it's the oldest part of city. The island is divided to 4 neighborhoods: upper west, upper east, lower east and lower west side.

Here is a look of the upper east side, from New Jerusalem, with Saint Paul's Cathedral clearly visible in the background:

A look of the downtown, located in the lower west side:

a look to the island from west, with New Marina, New Jerusalem, Riverdale, Airport City and Newbeach visible in the background:

and last, three typical pictures of street view. I know they're not the best, but this is the best I could get 4.gif

later on today I'll upload pictures of New Jerusalem and Newbeach city, if I've got time. I've got school ^^

New Jerusalem:

New Jerusalem was the  first neighborhood founded in the mainland, by a Jewish  millionaire who couldn't stand the drop in the quality of life on the island. However, during the Industrial Revolution, the quiet, lovely suburb turned into a massive public housing project. things got even worse when the heavy, and eventually the manufacturing industry moved out of the city. The unemployment rate was extremely high, and theft became the main source of income. However, in the last twenty years, the neighborhood has gone under a massive renovation program, and now is mainly inhabited with middle and higher middle class.

Some pictures:

From Saint James Island

and from the farmland

you can see in both pictures the orange building, which has become a symbol of corruption in the city. Most residents claim the project to be "the ugliest building of the 20th century", but some executives in the city council claim that it is "a great example for the renewal the city has done"

here is a picture of what left of the slums, trapped between Maple Bridge to the New Marina district.

a rare suburban view at the edge of of the neighborhood, near the farmland:

That's it for now.

btw, New Jerusalem is the worst example of my city planning. narrow roads, no order whatsoever, and when I renovated the area, I didn't touch the streets layout at all, which was a big, big mistake.

The best planned area is Pheonix Hills, which I'll present tomorrow.

Again, please, tell me what you think. the city is not finished yet, and even if it is, I can still change it of course. Ideas, compliments, even criticism will be welcomed.

Here is Newbeach City!

Newbeach City is a pretty quiet and quite boring part of Saint James, with nothing really of worth mentioning.

The population is made up of mainly middle class with some upper-middle class neighborhoods.

Here is a look of the downtown, taken from Saint James Island:

The desalinization plant, which supplies water mostly for the agriculture:

The connection of the Coastal Expressway to Bellevue Boulevard:

Shaw stadium, Saint James' biggest stadium:

and King Highway southern part, with Neuschwanstein Castle visible on the hill:

That's it for today, hope you like it!

some random pictures

later tonight I'll upload pictures of New Marina and Pheonix Hills.

since I started uploading pictures here, I almost completed the new housing project, and I built today the area around Neuschwanstein Castle, with new elite houses.

I also expanded the high-tech and agriculture areas. Total population has increased from 1,528,400 to 1,698,520, iwth 11% unskilled, 30% skilled, 38% executives, and 18% elites.
