Graphics Glitch with Beaches

    What is causing this glitch with my beach graphics? This happens no matter what water texture I use, even the Maxis default texture.

    That's a known problem.  I think the only fix is to slightly raise the land level with the Mayor mode tools.  This can be very picky, so be very careful, and save a lot.  It would be a good idea to have a backup copy of your city, just in case.
