Crash to Desktop

    This is one of the weridest CTDs I've had out all of mine.  My CTD doesn't just crash while I'm at my city, it crashes at the EA splash screen!  Any help on this?

    People will need a lot more info to find out the cause. Dig around for error reports and such.

    I'd recommend A: Taking out all plugins, starting game vanilla. If it works, then it's a plugin problem or conflict and use appropriate methods (binary method and so) Obviously new plugins are ones to look at closely

    B: backing up region & plugins and re-installing the game. It's pretty easy and quick, and simply copying region and plugin files to a different location is enough to save them during an re-install.

    If neither of these work, then your problem is to do with your computer - did you recently change your setup?
