my computer was shut down from playing SC4 Deluxe by a power cut, and now i have rebooted and lost my custom regions, although all plugins have remained, i only have the default regions, with no new cities, as if i have just installed the game. is there anywhere the files could have been moved to or anything that could help?

    thanks a lot

Be sure you are looking in the right place.  Your regions are in (My) Documents\SimCity 4\Regions.

It is not usual for a file system to lose files in a crash.  At most you should only lose the last stuff you were working on, and not the whole space, or even the tile if it had had at least one save.

Are you running windows, O/S X, or Linux?

hi, thanks for the reply. i am running XP, but have resolved the issue now. i ran a search and found the file in a System Restore saved state (or whatever theyre called, i usually use OS X so no nothing about windows), so it was in as though i hadnt changed it in a few days, so some recent changes were lost, but i have the region back all the same. hope this helps if this happens to anyone else, if not contact me and i can try to remember what i did.
