10.6.4

I just upgraded to 10.6.4 and am having trouble trying to render new regions.  Everytime I start a new region rendering, the game may get through one city, but never more, and annoyingly freezes my Macbook Pro.  I have to power off and reboot since everything freezes.  I've tried removing all of my plugins and this still happens.  I'm running this with the universal binary and under rosetta.  Disabling rosetta allows about 10-15 cities to be rendered before the game crashes to desktop.

Has anyone else encountered this?  Any suggestions/solutions?

Have you tried replacing the UB with the original App from the DVD? I have found that I had many fewer issues if I ran the non-UB version on my Intel Machine, but the UB version runs better on my PPC Mac.

Yes I did, went through a clean install. Tried running one of my cities from before I updated, and it crashed the computer within a few minutes. But I've decided to bite the bullet and install bootcamp, so problem solved!
