Nam crashing my computer - MAC

 I tried to install NAM (first mod ive ever tried to install for my SC4 Deluxe) on my Mac, and the game is crashing my computer as soon as I click on mayor mode. I can use all the God mode tools, and do anything I want there when i build a new city, but as soon as I try to go into Mayor Mode it crashes my computer giving me no option but to hard reset my macbook pro. The problem is definitely the NAM because previous to it, I never had any issues, and when I removed NAM from my plugins folder it stopped crashing. I read somewhere that the light rail plugins were causing some people to crash, so I removed them but it makes no difference. I don't know if I placed something in the wrong folder during the installation or what is going on, I really can't figure it out, I'd really appreciate some help considering this is a major turn off for me since it's the first time Ive tried to add some new content to my game, and its making it crash  I downloaded the May 2010 NAM for Mac, have the binary patch installed. I also read that there is an installer for Mac somwhere so you don't have to place everything manually, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Please help!
