Many of you have been following not my latest City Journal but the one before my latest: Haludua. As many of you noticed I stopped updating it. And as the author of this City Journal, I announce that it has not been cancelled. Just all the work of Dayershane has gotten before. I will get around to this city journal asap, but for now, it sits still waiting to be worked on. I do have a notebook with a timeline all set up for the city journal's progress but I have lost it. I have been trying to look for it so don't worry.

For those who don't know what this city journal is or what it is about, well, I give a little summary of what has happened so far.

Haludua is a meditterean island region south of Venice. This story starts off when the city of Yandavara reaches the beginning of the city's Renaissance movement. They then become part of the republic they fled from known as Tuscany. This angered some families and they moved to a souther island. Yandavara then starts their own republic and includes the other city in it causing this massive war and the other city winds up winning. That is the story so far, I guess you could call it chapter 1.

If you want to read this story, read it here.

If you have then post some feedback.

The main purpose of this forum message is to help me develop this CJ into a classic. I will answer any questions and listen to any feedback and also post pictures and of course the killer spoilers.

Will you be posting the CJ here as well as in the other section? Otherwise this isn't really a CJ... just an advertisement.

If this is a thread for the development of your CJ, and not the CJ itself, I could move it to a more relevant forum.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

I'll be posting development of the cities here. I'll ask the readers what I should build in the city and other stuff like that. If you think this should be put in another forum section feel free too.

That sounds fine for this section. I thought it might just be asking about story ideas and things like that. Good luck!

Status Update: I have officially planned to get a new update not this week but the next week. In the meantime, I like to hear some more suggestions of what I should do to the cities in the upcoming 40 years (according to the CJ).

I apologize for not getting your promised city journal update to you on time, I'd like to say that unlike my other city journal, this one will not be dropped. The next update that I keep promising but never getting to, will probably not happen until I get back to that computer again. Also since I have installed simcity 4 on my other computer, there might be another City Journal 5.gif but as you know never take my word for it. 3.gif

    Sincerely,

After about 11 months of procrastination, I have updated my city journal. In that 11 months, I had not time for it, until the point when I actually had time for it, but when that came around I forgot about it. But I then remembered it, then lost the Simcity 4 Cd. And when I found the CD, I finally updated the city journal. And you can read it here. Enjoy!
