It's here, the Tommy7777 Region Request thread. This thread is for anyone who would like a region that is to their liking. Please include the following information when requesting a region.

1) How many cities, and how many cities of each size (how many large, medium, and small cities)

2)Terrain features (what would you like to see)

Spam will be reported, and requested regions announced here are not guaranteed to be made. Regions completion date/time can only be estimated, not promised. All requsts and announced regions are subject to change at any time. Any questions, feel free to PM me

RULES:

1) No spam (Thanks, ok, etc)

2) No outragous maps (map size varies, not very large due to certian system requirements)

3) If a map already exists, a link will be provided, and a map WILL NOT be made. Please, if there is an upload that suits your needs, then do not keep asking.

Map Sizes

If a map request includes a region size that is too large for me or anyone to make, or system stabability with the region can be compromised by size, then I will ask for a smaller size, or the project will be cancelled. If you do not respond within 5 days to any questions, the request will be terminated, unless otherwise noted that you will be unable to respond within a certian time.

Thanks.

Any request can be ended at any time. No requests are guarenteed, and if a region is under development, there is no promise that is will ever be completed. Anything stated here is subject to change at any time.

Red, would you like any specific area of New South Wales? Do you want it to be 40x40km of it, or more? Th other thing is that I am not too good at realistic maps yet, I can see what I can do still though.

Thanks for that info, but I might not be able to make the 10x10 (100 large cities is a bit big) so that might be limited. It would take so much time that it be better to just make it smaller.

Attention anyone following thread, it is still open, but the map requested by Red will still be some time. If you want a region, feel free to post, but I am having trouble with Red's request. If you have ANY advice, or recommendations, please, PLEASE post. I do need some help still with realistic, accurate maps. Thanks.

Can you make Albania, it's a small country. I thinks it's still way to big still so can you make it span from it's seaport in Durres to it's capital Tirane. They're about 20 miles apart from each other, If that's still too big can you just make Durres, Albania.

A map with a mountain range, a coastline, islands, a river with no delta (instead like the St. Lawrance River mouth), and some flat areas mostly in around the same place. I'd like the mountains look realistic, some cliffs and beaches. I'd also like it to be around 35x35 NOT all quad tiles. Please and thank you 4.gif

Regarding this region, please explain the 35x35 size. It also seems a bit large, and I don't want to make something that might be too big, as in that I can make a region like that with a smaller plot of space, 16x16km...

If you mean 35x35 tiles then at least my machine couldn't handle that huge bmp. But I don't know about Tommy's. His may be able to do it. I will talk to him about it.

Regarding NSW, I am working on it.

A map of Calgary, AB would be nice with the area north of calgary too probably up to Olds. With that all I would want would be the land formed out with the appropriate lakes and rivers. The total size would probably be 12 x 12 large tiles ( maybe more or less, whatever it takes to fit really) with Calgary centered along the x-axis and about halfway between the center and the bottum edge of the map along the y-axis.

Could we cut back on the city tiles? It is too hard and kinda makes my computer (probably Tommy's too) a bit berserk.

Yeah, Josh is right. And maybe my computer or yours can handle it, but not everyone elses, and because of that, I cannot make large regions without the risk of these having issues. Thanks for understanding.

The biggest mine can do is around a 8x8. Storing it on the hard drive isn't no probem at all, but the actual "saving" it is a pain. Why I was being stupid one day and did a 30x30 and my computer went unresponsive and then locked up. So maybe something 5x5 or 6x6 would do. 8x8 if you are willing to wait a long time.

Now Tommy, from what he has recently told me, sounds like he has one of those rather powerful HPs. I have an outdated Compaq. I find it hard to run what I want. 3.gif

Oh and Red Lightning you may want to take a look at this map, to see if it meets your needs.
