Sorry I haven't been working on CXL much lately, I've been away from home for some time; but I should get back into it soon when I get back to my computer!

No problem. They are really only eye candy that give your city a few jobs, some environment (greenery), and subtracts air pollution -- because they are taking smoggy cars off the roads. They're not as in-depth as SC4 though, i.e., the building doesn't regulate how many cars can go in/out per hour.

    I saw that many parts of the code of gems are in the exe (or in one dll)... (many tags use "" as default), probably when they created gems (2008) the architecture of the game was different and so many functions coded somewhere (ground type for example) can't work again with this new version of the game.

    About new menus (at the moment gem buildings are in chinatown menu - while other things like power plants and parks are in their own menu), what did you do in order to change the menu icon?

    I´m sure if focus want, they can do it easily in his cities 2011 and they have professionals.

    Yes, but the easiest way for Focus is stopping custom content (and they have more than a way to do such a thing)...

    If we make something "focus-compatible" maybe they don't have to fight us!

    The mod is still in development (have you seen the last post of page 17?? ), but I'm trying to create something that will work only with this version of CXL and not with CXL2011...

    Well they can't release anything until FHI say they can.

    It's been some weeks now and FHI have been happy to talk about other things, but seemingly not about this.

    This is a thread for the unlocker mod, which Globexco said weeks ago was very nearly ready for release and that FHI's agreement was the main obstacle to this.

    So yes, I stand by my previous comment.

    Version 3 can be the last big release of the unlocker mod, since we finished things to unlock... 18.gif

    Since in this version there are many things that Focus can sell, I asked them what do they think about this.

    About Focus, they're answering all the question we sent from Simtropolis... so they're a bit slow, and maybe they need to check other things before giving the answer.

    About its development, all the main things are ready...

    There are many bugs, and of course if Focus want to release all those complete things, fixing them is useless (yes, it's summer and it's very hot).

    Focus Home answered me about the Unlocker mod. I'm currently working together with Focus to develop a mod (version 3) that will satisfy both Focus and the community.

    We're testing things at the moment and fixing bugs...
