Along a flat area of land ol' jo decided to camp for the night. raising his tent he thought to himself, there has to be a good place to build my house in this vast land. sleeping on the thought, Jo woke early the next morning and stuck his head out of the tent to the smell of a sweet country air and a breeze overflowing with a taste of freedom. eating the breafast he trapped earlier in the woods, he thought --this is such a great place--So after a few hours of crawling around the woods and searching, jo noticed a small path and decided to build himself a cabin. After a rough start using all the basics, jo began to expand his lands and decided to invite industry in, after a while commerce began to flow into his little beaten path and folks started to gather around his place. Some hard work and a few paths leading back to the sim nation, jo found himself as the mayor of a small town----Simpleton was born.

Time Marched on and Jo discovered that starting out a small town and becoming a mayor was the easy part. The people began to flood into Simpleton and along with them their childeren. With all these kids came the idea of creating an education for them which is just what he did, he built his towns first school and low and behold here come the kids to find out what a book was. Of course he couldn't have education without teachers, and therefore teacher unions Which brought about a whole new problem. You see the kids where so anxious to learn that they came in droves to the school. With all those kids came a crisis. The budget doesn't allow for more schools nor does it permit hiring more teachers, now Jo was learning that he really had a serious problem on his hands. The teachers are on strike, and there isn't any money in the budget. Even worse, the City funds where at an all time low of only 6000 simoleans, with only a few simoleans going into the treasure, we can't afford to take out a loan.

Thinking about the Education Crisis Jo sipped a cup of black coffee.What to do, what to do he thought. Yelling through the closed office door to his secretary Jo said "Get me Some one who can tell me if one large school will work in place of two smaller ones...and bring me in another cup of coffee". Waiting for his coffee Jo sit back in his executive leather chair and thought a moment, then picked up a pen and began writing on a piece of scratch paper. The secretary walks in with his coffee, smiles and ask if thats all, Jo looks up smiles, and says "Barb, get everyone in conference right now, and bring me the plans to the coal power plant, the new school building proposal, and the list of contacts i have that want a new Industrial Park, I think I have a solution to the Education Crisis, and we can make a few Simoleons in the process which we can use to further the road project coming up next month. With his words, Barb headed out, and set up the conference. Within a matter of hours The new School was planned, The new Industrial Park was set up with Parteners from every Sim company around the Sim Nation. Within Moments of leaving the conference, The secretary of Utilities was on the phone and preparing to shut down the current gas plants, and open up a new coal plant. "We are on the road to recovering this situation and getting back on track", Jo thought. Within a few months The plan had worked, Simpleton was recovering and the new Transportation Project was running right on track.

Good start, I like the short history that you gave! Maybe you should try and work on making your pictures more clearer, and higher quality. Good luck with the journal!

Thanks for the comments, I did try and make the second pic better. I want to try and make a interesting story. I am not using any mods to play this city, i am using only the tools and functions that where original...i will later use Highway mods such. the poll is what should Jo do about the Education Crisis.

Looks pretty good, well done so far. Nice start but I'd advise turning of the UDI icons and havin high quality images.
