Trains and more rail options

I was wondering if someone could assist me with finding more rail options.  I know where to find and have already downloaded some elevated rail stations, but I want to really give my cities nice looking trains to go with the improved stations.  I can't seem to find many good looking sets of elevated trains, high-speed rail trains, and subway trains.

Also, my elevated rail in my largest city is working fine according to the different stations.  Many of them have about 90% usage, but I can never actually see the elevated rail train, itself, going through my city!

Is this a technical issue or do I have to download a train before I can see it running along the rails?

Thanks for the help!!

This is the VDK GLR Train Mods Vol 4   https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2345  from sc4.devotion.com. Just become member there..

It's a huge set of nice fancy trams/GLR's. You choose Only! one train you like and put it in your My documents/Plugins folder. You will know you installed it corectly when you go to UDI menu of vehicles and choose to drive GLR. The train you drive should be the one you installed.

If you dont see the trains in your game thats maybe you set the traffic/sims appearance in the graphic menu to minimum? Othervise I don't know why it wouldn appear.

On the Simtropolis and SC4Devotion there can also be found some nice stations for GLR and EL train, so explore the sites..

Good luck!

I joined the Sim City 4 Mods site for a couple of train sets from Gizmo. Jettstar has a train set too over at SC4devotion. Both these are basic rail locomotives and car sets, but I have seen a number of automata skins here at the stex for other rail networks.

The stex can be a pain to search through at times but I have seen some really great work.

Wow, thanks! I joined this site about a month ago and feel like I have explored a ton on the STEX, but I always manage to find something new. I think I am going to join SC4 Devotion as well.

I hesitated to join other SC4 sites at first but after doing it I am almost mad that I waited. Sign up is easy and only takes a minute, there's a ton more selection, and there's often better or more varied tutorials.
