 Sorry for any grammar mistakes.

I'm a newbie and i would like to ask a question.I want to make certain type of arhitectural cities.I have searched and found what do i need.But they all are comercial or residential buildings or industrial.I would like to know how do i make them appear when i zone some land.For example if i would like to make an oil rig and it is a manufacturing industry what do i do?

There are two types of buildings that you can download. Ploppable buildings that you can place and Growable buildings that will grow in your zones. It sounds like you want growable buildings. You can download these here from the STEX. Each building that is available for download will show a picture and should say if the building is a Growable or Ploppable.

If you find a Growable building that you want to download, download and extract it, and put it in your plugins folder. C:\Username\documents\simcity4\plugins.

Then in the game you can zone for it and wait for it to grow.

Welcome to Simtropolis.

By "BSC", paulmc is referring to the game content designers who founded the site SC4Devotion.  Are you registered for their site and their exchange, the LEX, which is separate?  If so, you can download this oilfield, which contains a number of modular lots you can plop where you would like in your cities.  Registering is quite simple as well, if you have not done so..  The lots are functional landmarks, which means they are found in that menu , and contain industrial jobs.  The dependencies for the lots can be found in the files that are here and here.  Without them, the lots will be missing certain items, or props.

If you type the words "oil",  and also "refinery" into the Keyword Search box on the STEX, you will also find other oil industry lots.

wait.I have another problem.I think i kanda got the idea of what is a growable building.But  in all decriptions i found that you have to use ctrl and zone the number of titles they say it is.My question to  you is: what if you have to growable buildings of the same titles.What do you do then?

You can have two buildings that grow in the same RCI category, for example 2 different CS$ buildings. I am not quite sure how the game picks which one that grows. It most likely has something to do with demand and which building is the most demanded. If you don't like the building that grows, you can demolish it and see if another same size building will grow in its place.

You can also have two buildings with the same names and same dimensions like two 8x8 that are the same in every way except appearance. If these buildings have the same stats, the one that grows may be more random.
