MST3K- Is anyone else here a fan? I guess its a little late, the show hasn't been on in years, even reruns are a memory of the past.

When I was a kid I watched it religiously along with my parents and remember the episodes. Now you can find DVD's and Youtube versions which I have been watching lately.

My personal favorites which I watched online recently are Time Chasers("Food Courts, of the future!") and Final Sacrifice("Rowsdower!") haha

I first and foremost remember it as the show with the numbered doors in the intro. That fascinated me for some reason.

And then I remember complaining that they always talked during the movies. xdtm3.gif

I don't remember this one.  It must have been in the period when I did not have a TV set.  There was a time betwwn 1959 and about 1987 when I didn't have ready access to TV.

I love this show. I first saw it back in Middle school and was hooked.

I love Rifftrax too. Its fun to see them do this to good movies.

No, it ran for pretty much all of the 90's

I was 10 or 11 when it ended, and then there were reruns into the early 2000

Yes, that was a great program. The funny thing is that I've only caught a few episodes/movies, and I've seen a couple of them multiple times. It was hilarious though.

That's what I, er I mean my mom, did, when it was on TV. We taped them with our VCR. Here are the ones I know we kept, and I've gone back and watched the "unofficial" ones uploaded on YouTube recently-

Final Sacrifice: Awful movie about a lost civilization in, eh, Canada, and the hero is this wimpy kid and a fat guy with mullet named Rowsdower!!!! lol

Prince of Space: stupid Japanese Toei like sci-fi cheese, with this dude named Prince of Space fighting a bad guy named Krankor and kids who wear shorts constantly running around. "Your lasers are useless against me!" is what he says like a hundred times, yet the movie keeps going into "fight" scenes where nothing happens.

Space Mutiny: They ripped off Battlestar Galactica and it's got the cheesiest scene where these guys are chasing each either other in what looks floor waxers that appear to be only going 3 miles an hour, but then they blow up in a huge fireball crash. The set doesn't look like a spaceship, it looks an old power plant.

Wow! I live in the UK, and have only ever seen MST3K as a film on the Sky Movies channels. I had no idea it was a show too! How cool is that! I'm going to searching youtube for it later... all movies should have slightly unhinged robots talking over them.

Poor robots.  Everyone ignores the Three Laws of Robotics.  Dr. Asimov is probably spinning in his grave.

Two of our greatest Science Fiction writers, Asimov and Clark, have put forth ideas very early in the 20th century, that have seen at least partial fruition in the present.  Too bad that Asimov's greatest gift, the fail-safe robol hasn't come about.

I adore MST3K, one of my fave coffee mugs has Joel, Crow, and Tom Servo on it, in front of the screen9.gif

The worst one I've seen was some movie called Pod People.  "Potatoes..."  we still quote that in my house to this day 3.gif
