Cannot view cities XL on night time settings - crashes whenever I do

Whenever I want to change my game to 9pm, midnight or 3am, it simply freezes and I have to end the process. Since street-lights were involved in the last patch, could it be something to do with this?

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I guess no one has such a problem. Did you contact Cities XL support?

I have the same problem with the game freezing up, but I can change the view back to daylight and it'll come back fine. I am amazed at how the same game can do so many weird things depending on what computer its on.

I look on enviously at all the night time CJ's!

Sorry for my angry post, but you know, just a little help is nice 4.gif

I have contacted MC support but they just said lower the graphic quality, I already run on low so I wouldn't be happy with very low, but I tried it with the lowest settings and it made no difference, so I have replied to them saying that.

Hmm, for me the whole interface dissapears and I can't do anything :\

Hopefullly when I upgrade my graphics card (I only have an ATI-All-in-wonder X1800XL) to a GTS 250 it should be O.K.

What graphics card do you run? ( I assume thats where the problem is coming from)

I am running CXL in the second lowest setting and I have a dual core pentium with a Radeon x1550 graphics card. I know I need to upgrade to see CXL properly, but it is still really buggy.

After your post I tried switching one of my cities to nighttime and crashed to desktop, so it does different things depending on what mood its in!

Yeah, MC replied saying it is the graphics card. Your graphics card is similar to mine, so I guess it must be the graphics card's fault. That's why I am not sure if MC would be able to make a patch for this, but I have asked if this would be possible 4.gif
