I have followed the instructions on Omnibus regarding loading maps in SC4 to the letter but when I get to the "ctrl+shft+alt+R" part nothing happens.

I've checked the maps i downloaded and they are grey scale jpg and i have the needed config.bmp file in the region folder. I've done everything as I should have but for some reason i'm stuck. I've even hit the ESC button a few times, then tried the ctrl+... again, nothing. I've started a city in the region and backed back out into the region again, nothing, tried the ctrl+... again, nothing.

My game is set to 1024x768 mode. I tried different compatibility modes and restarted the game in case my problem is that i have win7... nothing helped.

I even emptied out all my plugins from plugin folders and tried again without any mods or addons... nothing.

I can't seem to get the ctrl+shift+alt+R to work at all. Nothing happens and I'm sooooo frustrated. PLEASE HELP!!!

Specs:  I'm using a desktop ( NOT using wireless keyboard) ...Compaq CQ5320Y (AMD Athlon II X2 240 Processor 2.8 GHz) 3 GB RAM, 500 GB Hard Drive, 64Bit Windows 7 Home Edition

Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.

Just to make sure the grayscale is a true 8 bit, 256 color jpg, open it in an image editor.  When you do the key strokes, and select the image file, make sure it appears in the selection box.  If not, then you must type in the file name.

Yep, checked the files in an image editor and they met your above specs. The key strokes don't work. No image file opens, no dialog box... absolutely nothing happens. Wtf? grrrrr!

The only other thing I can think of is the wireless keyboard, some won't accept that many key strokes.  They have a key that has double combination.
