I was looking around for some anti-dilapidation stuff on the STEX, and I came across this mod which requires an area to be more desirable in order for $$$ to grow. However, it is way to high and I would like to tone it down.

Does anyone know what value in ilive i should change in order to make it that $$$ can develop in less desireable areas? It would be very helpful.

btw, here's the mod:

Thanks!

I have Bones1 Less Abandonment mod too.  I just recently downloaded so I dont know all the things that factor into what higher wealth commercial and residential sims find desirable.

If you have Ilive reader you could compare the mod files to the original simcity1.dat files.  Open up the navigator for simcity1.dat and look under general and developer to compare.  (it will help to have 2 reader programs going at the same time to switch back and forth from)  I see some slight diiferances between the two files just by looking at them.  You may have to double click an effect to see the full list of changes.

If the desirability requirements are too high in the mod, you can change them to a lower value.  The good news is that all the changes you will be making should be float32 whcih means you can just use decimals.  I dont know what all the nimbers in the effects mean for sure, but I am guessing that one value represents the amount of tiles away and the other is the desirability factor.

If you dont have the ilives reader (you should get it and at least see if you can make sense of SC4 files)  otherwise the readme says that desirability requirements have been raised as high as 1.4 and 1.5 times the usual.  If you want more higher wealth buildings to develop, and dont want to mess with the files, then just double the desirability factor of your districts by being overly generous with parks, landmarks etc.
