Now hold on a sec, he's not trying to pass that as an "official rendering", it's just an image on the title page. Because, you know, it's a Hydrogen power plant and he's talking about building a Hydrogen power plant.

Still, it is decidedly unprofessional to throw that in there without any sort of acknowledgement as to where it came from.

Sure it is unprofessional to not acknowledge where it comes from, but more that that it makes the plan seem ridiculous if the only image they can find is one from Sim City. It is difficult to take the plan seriously...

Not to mention that, as far as I know, hydrogen fusion power plants (which is what the SC4 picture is of) don't actually work yet... It appears from skim reading that they intend to power the subway, among other things, with hydrogen, presumably burn or fusing hydrogen in the "hydrogen powerplant" they propose. They say they will produce the hydrogen by electrolysis. However, it requires more energy to create hydrogen than to burn it, so that plan would hardly be efficient when a subway can be supplied with electricity directly through wires. If they want to use hydrogen fusion in the powerplant, they will need to find many billions of dollars for research.

I rather hope he got laughed at and eliminated at the first level of selection.  Anyway, don't we have a copyright issue with him?  Grab a headline, and discredit him in the bargain.

Maybe. One could make a "fair use" argument here, although the lack of acknowledgement hurts it...
