Google Earth/Map Oddities

I just wanted to point out a few oddities from Google Earth. First off:

Some guys are just really dedicated to their browsers...

A crop circle outside of McMinnville, OR (a suburb of Portland) featuring the Firefox logo.

Since when do chiefs have earbuds?

The Badlands Guardian, discovered in 2006 on Google Maps, near the Alberta-Saskatchewan border.

The Firefox logo is real, as with all images. Look for yourself on Google Maps, Google Earth, Bing Maps, Mapquest, Yahoo! Maps, OpenStreetMap, etc.

Oddities? Some of Google Earth's layers are funky.

The river and lake polygons must use the wrong datum because they are offset. Street names are interesting, I have found obvious typos or overzealous fixing of non-typos. There is no "Montropolis" in Austin.

Area 51 is just like any other air force base in the US as you can see the picture is from 2006 even though the Google copywrite is from 2009

area 51 is different, unles you know any other air force base with a six mile long runway that sits on top of a dry lake and that the government does'nt want anyone to know what goes on in there.
