He shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame. Hall of Infamy perhaps. Was anyone really surprised that he used drugs? At that time, it was a drug culture.

He did what all of the others will do now, admit they used but for injury recovery, and thier years  and years  of use will be forgoten.

Who was the Yankee player who admited he used  early on? hear anything about him latley? No cause its forgoten.

 

He did this so he could get a job as a hitting coach on a  major leauge team and this was hanging  in the background, there was no other reason except mabey for Hall of Fame consideration.

Confessing and apologizing does not excuse anyone from consequences. He does not deserve to be in the hall of fame. And his hitting statistics from after he started using steroids ('94 on) still get asterisks.

But at least he did the right thing by coming clean.
