Functional lots question

Hi folks.

Before I get to my question, I want to give a big thank you to all the folks who contribute to this game.

I have downloaded a great many items and appreciate the efforts.

I am wondering about the BATS and lots that are functional. How do they work?

For instance, say I drop a functional Industrial building in a smaller town, the building stats will already be filled.

Where did all those employees come from? Are the functional lots actually adding those jobs to my city?

Also, am I the only one who can't seem to stay focused on a city? haha. I have about eight cities started.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Staring multiple cities is no problem, it might actually help your region to develop at a faster pace.

Also, when a buildings has just been build, it's capacity seems to be completely filled, but it isn't. Just wait a few months, and the capacity should reflect more appropriate numbers. Also take note that if you build a building with so many jobs, that your region can't fulfil them, the building might abandon.

As to your question about how do they work: We've been trying to answer that question for more than 6 years now, and no-one knows exactly how they work. I think that it is best for you for now not to know, until you become somewhat more experienced with the game.
