Patch 1.0.3.392 - Crashing

I just got a new gaming rig, windows 7, good graphics card, and an unfinished CXL game. I've been able to play the game fine without much major interruption until the new patch came out. Once I installed it, everything junked out, CXL style.

Has anyone else had this problem with the latest update? I doubt MC's support team will reply within the week. Please help.

I had the same problem, and the solution (for me) was delete modds dowloaded from Simtropolis and other site make by fans of Cities XL called "citiesxs" I think is a problem of compatibility of the modds with the new version of the game....

I had the same problem ! and sma thing with the modds ... but what sucks is that withtout the modds ....the city is melting down !! NO MORE MONEY so please release a Modd that works with the new update !!!!!

I just removed the mod from the data folder, opened the game and then closed it down. then I had placed the mod inside the data folder again and voilà, it worked again

Why using mods anyway?

Then you don't have crashes and more fun, because it's the trick (very simple) to play without any mods..

(step 1) When you download the sandbox mod you have to extract it and then put the "design" folder in the "data" folder in the "Cities XL" folder on your hard disk.

If you already have it there, then delete it, open the game (to install the newest patch).

After it's installed, open the game, then close it. Then repeat step 1

Well since the latest patch (1.0.3.392), the game crashes after I play for 20-60 seconds. It doesn't matter if I create a new city, or play my existing one... It's quite frustrating.

I have never installed any mods. The game was working perfectly fine before the patch.

CXL support told me to update my drivers and computer, and to reinstall the game, but that didn't help

I wrote to the support again, I hope they are able to help me. I Will update this topic if I resolve my issue.

P.S. You can't make profit without the mods? That sounds strange, I always have sooo much money... In my first city (800,000 population), I make over 200k profit. And that's without trading at very low prices with my other cities - I don't have any

I also made lots of profit without the mod. about 150k with +-700k pop. Anyway, my economy crashed because citizens started to leave the city. Okay, partly my fault because I was making a die-hard communist city without leisures & stuff. hehehe.

Anyway, the game isn't crashing anymore for me. Hopefully Monte Cristo will keep providing us with more content soon!!!

WARNING - dont use the mod anymore. I was, and the game would not start. Then I wrote support, and they asked me to send a log file and my dxdiag to them. I did, and got the answer that they do not allow the mod anymore and that they have banned me for 2 days.

Then I should just have accepted this, but got pissed, because I have payed for the game and did not know, so I wrote I would just not pay anymore if they did not open today. Now my account has been closed and it is just now that I have seen, that there are these sanctions when not doing it their way.

I am hoping that they will open my account again soon, but I guess they dont care, cause they have lots of others playing. Normally I am a nice quiet person.

So I have just lost Limited edition + 3 month planet mode. Just because I didnt know the consequences of modding and not following their orders.

So dont use mod if you dont want to get blocked.

Is there some way I can play again without paying for a new game ? I cant understand why I cant even play solo when I have bought the game. The game says that trial has expired.
