How do you insert a picture into the text, but not attaching it or getting the image from a web site? (that is, just insert the picture from a file)

Did you check out the Omnibus article here ?

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

however on firefox it only asks for the URL btw in that case you might want to use a image hosting site such as

http://www.imageshack.us/

or

http://www.imgcity.net/

note that there are photo size limits on ST that limit the size of your picture to 800x600 if too big they will delete your pictures.you can resize images using your paint program and the strecth/skew tool under the Image menu in the Paint program located in Allprograms(Or Programs) then Accessories and then Paint.you can also chage the file type by clicking on the Save as button under the File menu and just save it under a differnt file type.2.gif I love Tmi when it's helpful and not gross.3.gif

If you mean host on site, yes you can do that.

Press the insert image button. After that press browse and find the file on your computer. Then press upload and press OK then you are done.

Alougth this is easier you are recommended to host off site to save Simtropolis bandwidth.

I went to imageshack and inserted the image URL into a post of mine called Help with rail but as you can see it's display as a little picture symbol, not the real picture.
