CXL crash on startup

Hey everyone, ever since the update the game crashes every time I start it up.  I can't even get to the login screen, clicking on the icon gives me a "cxl has encountered a problem and needs to close" error.  Any ideas?  I've installed all the packages on the CXL support page and no go...

when this happened to me it was because my video card wasn't good enough. If you've already played, though, I am not sure.

This happens to me when I try to place the first road... Any ideas? Havent got the best graphics card, Gefore 8400.. Need to get a new one.

I have the same situation: during installation, everything ran fine, and when prompted to install updates I went ahead and did so - apparently this was required to keep the game functioning lol. Post-update, the game immediately crashes... I don't get any further than a crash message - no login screen, no splash screen, nothing.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz

4GB RAM

nVidia 9800 GTX 512MB

My rig's a year old but I still decimate everything I throw at it, and even doing development there's no issues. The patch obviously broke something, but I figured I'd add myself to the list of the effected.

Will this graphic card be good enough to run CXL?

I cant find any other better card that will be compatible for my motherboard. (AGP 8x)

just got the game today and getting this problem, my computer ran the beta fine so its not my end (yes i have uninstalled the beta before you ask)
