Running Setup.exe but won't install

Wondering if anyone had a solution for the problem that occurs with the digital Download.

As of now I downloaded the 3 required files 3 times with 3 different download managers.

Still every time I run the setup.exe it will say it is extracting the files to a specified folder ( c:\temp\CitiesXL on default ).

However when it is done doing so the installer closes and the files are not to be found in that folder....and thats it!

It is funny that I see the files pooring in that folder when it is doing its initial thing but when it finished the files vanish.

No idea what to do anymore tried cleanign my whole PC closing any programm that might conflict but nothing.

Must be some work around to this...not getting any feedback form their support service neither accept sending me the email with all details over and over....the tits.

im nto getting this problem, however, install is not installing the gameplay portions of my game and have been working with the support staff to get it rectified

Could not imagine I was the only one with this problem, really odd to be honest.

Awaiting a reply from them again, hope they come with some sort of solution.

Makes me regret not getting a hardcopy in the shop. ( Some also have issues with this however )

I had that same problem Sincx. For some reason the Setup-1 and Setup-2 on the website was corrupted. The one in the email I got when I purchased worked though. If you get a runtime error when you click setup (which i did) you can move the setup to a different folder than the setup-1 and setup-2 and hopefully it should work. That is how I got it installed.

Now I am having a problem with logging in. when I login in it says I have to login online and register. I have registered my product on the account multiple times to no avail. It still says the same message.

Alright I managed to get it installed...don't ask me how...all of a sudden the files where there...scary isn't it ?

Next problem...crashing back to desktop after the intro...

Maybe you have not installed the Visual Package
