How create a new city in demo?

This may should like a simple question, but I can't figure how the heck to create new city in the demo. I have gone into online play mode -> planet mode. "From planet mode, I tried clicking my cites, it then says "Please create a City first". From planet mode, I just can't seem to get new city created. All of the other button just show stats and info.

Right clicking or left clicking on the planet doesn't doesn't have any prompts to create a new city either.

What am I missing here? There must be some way to create city.

Heh, figured out. Looks like you need left click in almost empty area of the planet. Usually if you click on filled area it goes to another city...

this question is asked a million billion times in the citiesXL chat, and it's because people don't play through the tutorial. before you can build a town hall, you need to connect your city to the rest of the world by building an avenue out of the corner of the map. then you can start building, starting with the town hall. just play the tutorial.

Really though, they should have pointers and tips throughout the game for those who haven't played the tutorial but just want to get started.  Things have changed in how games are played and tutorials are becoming a thing of the past (or at least optional).  Most guide you through while you play to get the quickest start on the game.

Tutorials are there for a reason AND your adviser tells you to conect a road to the blue area/place a citylink. Many people would call these people newbies/*****s/nuBs/n0Bs/*****s/newBs. I call these people eager beavers that do not look before they leap (so I would not be surprised to hear splat).

EDIT: Sorry about the whole splat thing, I had a bad day and I was surprised that people could not do something I found obvious the first time (I made a poorly constructed city, deleted it, then did the tutorials). Unless you are more disabled than myself, you went ahead of yourselves and went too quickly.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

    Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3
