Newb mod question

Hello!  I'm not new to SC4, but new to the community and modding the game.

I've been reading tutorials and seeing a bunch of really awesome looking mods (like the digger and lifter lots, terrain mods, dirt roads... 2.gif, and some that make the terrain actually look like it should (coming from Oregon with a view of Mt. Hood and seeing mountains made of dirt with no snow or trees is really weird).

Anyways, I've been having difficulty finding the mods I want.  I don't even know what categories to look for them under on mod sites, even as good of ones like this site!   Could someone help me or point me in the direction of how to search for them?  Please?  Appoligies for my newb-ish-ness.

(edit: the 1337 version of the harsher version of newb is a banned word here?  Weird.  I didn't know people used it hatefully enough to qualify it as a swear word)

Hello my fellow Oregonian 2.gif

Finding snow is something I am still trying to find but I don't really need quite yet (someone will come in and reveal a good snow modd). I have seen it at SC4devotion which is another website which I have posted a link too below.

To get trees you can use God Mode before the city is established. You can get additional trees on the STEX by typing in tree lots although the STEX is currently down thru my computer 8.gif

The best mod and the one you most need HANDS DOWN in the Network Addon Mod, which is known 99% of the time as the NAM. You can download this at SC4Devotion, which is an EXCEPTIONAL site for stuff like this. You can also download this on the Simtropolis STEX. Search NAM. To register at SC4devotion which is required you can click ME!!!!

A few more things: The dirt roads are part of the Street Addon Mod which is the SAM. Again, SC4Devotion will have it. It also inculdes draggable parking lots (which are also "driveable"), Brick and Cobblestone roads, and a few others.

Terrain Mods: This changes the cliffs THATS ME!! to make them more realistic. DANGER! Read description carefully or else you will screw things up on your game forever!

Hope that helps. Feel free to ask me for anything else if you need it and welcome to Simtropolis!

Yay!  Thanks!  I managed to find NAM earlier today (but haven't gotten to play around with it yet), and I'm checking out the links you sent me right now! 9.gif
