Last I checked, my hometown of New Jersey doesn't look like a desert with empty rivers...

I'm guessing something's wrong with the terrain height. If it's of any importance, I have a bunch of terrain height mods in my Program Files>Maxis>Sim City 4 Deluxe>Plugins folder. Each of them ranging from 100m-5000m, .dat files. (I think I needed these because, without them, it would be all water.) There is also an import.dat in the same plugins folder.

So, any solutions as to the height when I import the map?

You should only have one height mod in the plugins folder, that should be the documents plugins folder. Try rendering without a height mod, if that doesn't render properly, then try the "import.dat" mod, it's the more common one.

I think the some of the map makers are so used to using a height mod that they forget to mention it in the instructions.
