Hello everybody!

I've been BATing for couple of years now, but I've never published any of my work. Not because I wouldn't want to share it with others but mostly because I never finished any of it. I always start working on new models and end up not finishing any of them. I'm more or less satisfied with my models but I'm not happy at all with texturing any night lighting. I admit they're not my thing and that brings us to why I'm here. It would be very cool to find someone (even more than one) willing to help me finish the work on the models so they could be published. I'm a big fan of historic european architecture (especially centraleuropean) so almost all of my models are old buildings. This is the latest model I'm working on. As you can see it's far from over and it looks kind of dead. Also to note is the corner building that has some texturing problems on the roof from the side. I've tried to rotate the texture but it doesn't work so I don't know what else to do. If you have suggestions they are always welcome and that goes for modelling too.

P.S. A BIG thank you goes to ODDFROMSWEDEN because he let me have one of his models few years ago and it helped me a great deal.

The roof textures are good, when you can get the rows to line up correctly. In your second pic, there's a section where the rows are running vertically, you'll need to fuss with the UVW mapping to get them to run horizantally. I think you need some more variation and detail in the wall textures as well...

GOOD TEXTURES ARE MADE, NOT FOUND.
(I get tired of saying that in BAT threads.)

Thak you all for your help. I also think that they could be nice once they're finished. I tried experimenting with UVW mapping but it just doesn't seem to work and I don't know what else to do. The roof textures are nice because they were made by oddfromsweden and I downloaded them from Simtropolis. The facades are somewhat empty because I wanted to make them $$ services and not $$$. I don't know if it works but that was my idea at the time. To show you the difference I'm adding some picutres of a $$$ residential I made some time ago and them two of them together. BTW I'm changing the roof as we speak making it less vertical because I don't know what I was thinking when I made it like this. 21.gif

P.S. How do I upload pictures and make them appear normally as you open the page and not having to click on them one by one?

When you hit the reply button, the window comes up for you to make your post. At the top, there are lines of buttons for the formatting of your reply, in those tows (min is in the second one on the far right) there is a button that says "insert/edit image". Hit that button and paste the link to your image (like you had been doing) into the "URL" text field in the pop up, then hit OK. Your imgage should show up now, just make sure it is less then 600x800.

As for the BATs, really wonderful creations so far! I think it would do you a world of good to add a little more dirt and variation to your textures as they look very clean and plastic right now. Modeling looks very nice though.

    Fantastic work,

    -Todd

Thank you very much for your comments and your help! I've changed the pendence of the roof on tha smaller building and now I'll work on doing the same thing on the corner one too. I think it looks more realistic now without the flat surface on top. I've added one more floor on the back side and a tin roof section.

    Hi everybody!

I've been working on one of my most recent models and I keep having problems exporting it. It's still far from completion but  I export it every now and then to see how well it sits in game. I'm posting pictures that are self-explanatory.

Can anbody tell me what's the problem? Is my computer too slow to process the model? Is gmax causing the problem for some reason to me unknown? I really have no clue what's wrong.
