creating/terraforming drops in waterlevel on streams

the topic summary says it all. i'm not interested in making waterfalls. i'm talking micro here not macro. i've seen screenshots of streams with exquisite little falls in them and i've seen videos. the videos show how a stream plug-in is used but they don't show how the terraforming was done in the first place. so, how do you micro terraform? sir s

Microterraforming is done by holding the Ctrl or Alt key and hitting a number on your keyboard from 1 to 10.
