The Aftermath

In the year 2010 the swine flu ravaged the United States, Mexico, Canada, and the majority of South America.

Schools, hospitals, airports and seaports had all been shut down and medicall research to find the cure for the disease had plunged the Americas into its deepest depression ever.

America was on its knees with half of its population dead and the other half rapidly dying.

North Korea saw it as an opurtinity to atack.  They fired 4 nuclear warheads across the pacific to america.  3 reached there targets with devestating results.

However one of the warheads fell back to North Korea only moments after the launch.

The United States, Canada, Mexico, North and South Korea, and portions of China and Russia were imidieatly obliterated leaving few survivors.

The heat and winds from the blast traveled with incredible speed destroying everything they touched.  Seawater was evaporated on contact, and enormous expanses of empty land lay in there wake.

For  weeks fires still continued to rage on and  smoke filled the air.  The heat and the smoke created a gobal greenhouse effect melting  the icecaps and flooding most of the land. The remaining population of the world was forced underground.  The fires continued to destroy everything in there wake.

The Austrailian's and the Chinese began constructing bunkers underground and formed an alliance.  Together they created an enormous database to store all information that mankind had gathered since the beggining of time. 

The human race sat in the darkness for longer than anyone could imagine. Generations were born in the bunkers beneath the earths surface and all hope had begun to fade as the austrailians and the chinese lost comunitactions with Europe and Africa.  South America stayed in contact with them up untill 2366 when there food source became contaminated and they all died from dehydration from food poisining.

In 2455 readings from radiation detectors declared that radiation levels had finnaly dissapated and the Human race emerged onto the surface again.

The Australian and the Chinese leaders met on September 23, 2455 and after collecting airial photographs from orbiting satalites they were shocked to find that the entire planet had changed.

Currently the focus of the leaders is to rebuild the world- they have sellected an area in what was once india to begin building.

Mini Update

This is a small update just to show what has been goin on.

This first picture shows a resevior that has been built to collect water to distribute to the future city which will be located on the island.

The second picture shows a statue of the current world leader: Di Zoa

The third picture shows an overveiw of the first above ground city that they have built.  The city is used soley for manufacturing purposes.  A grid has already been layed down, the highway is under construction and rail lines havbe been partialy completed.

The Start

After 20 years once again on the surface the world leader, ellected by the majority, Di Zoa has made great strides for the bennifit of the human race.

He has secured ample amounts of water and food for the population and has constructed the new worlds first city.

Before the human race decended under ground they had been smart enough to secure any and all construction equipment that would be nessacery to survive.  Thanks to this last minute decision they had been able to construct factories underground which was able to build more mechanized equipment.

When they rose from the caves that they had dwelled in they now were able to build bigger, better and faster then ever before- and they had the equipment to do it.

Unfortunatly the only way that they could build so quickley was to use pre fab buildings which led to all the buldings looking alike. 

Di Zoa's heir to the throne, Rhodney Zoa, Is now looking for new building designs to fill his city with diversity. ( a.k.a. if YOU want any of your bat's showcased in this cj send me the link and i will try and showcase it )

Before his death 30 years after taking the throne, Di Zoa built three important landmarks for the people-

The first is the statue- to inspire the people to be creative and inventive.

The Second is the hospital behind the statue- to heal the wounds of body and mind

And below is the third-  The park to allow the people to have freedom in chaos

Di Zoa has established a new world with three prinicples that all men are bound to follow

1. Invention

2. Health of the whole

3. Freedom

He belives that his son will be able to hold fast to these principals and better mandkind.

......He is wrong.......

Oh wow. So, you chose something like the swine flu as a cause for nuclear holocaust? This definitely has a somewhat interesting backstory. And you left a cliffy! I'll have to come back now, love stories.
