Hi i am new here, and i already search thru the new member section, i read thru NAM STEC etc..

anyone can guide me how to start using it? i alraedy tired with my long commute time and my mayor rating and poppulation drop damn fast..

what should i do? can anyone step to step guide me?

For a start, try playing the game differently. I almost always have a good Mayor rating when I play, so you must be doing something wrong. Try putting some industrial on either side of the city, to reduce commute times and polution. Try putting in enough Schools, Fire Stations, Police Stations, Parks, Water and Libraries.

As for custom content from the Stex and other places, download to your plugins file.

As for your questions regarding the NAM, It's fairly simple to use. You can download the new version from the STEX (I have linked it for you at the bottom). When it has completed downloading read the read-me manuals for installation instructions and run the .exe installer. As long as you have Simcity 4 deluxe edition you should be fine! Also, you can always PM me if you have any more questions.

looking at City Journals. One that I would

recommend would be in my signature... Feel

Well you best get started with the "essential" mods!!!

The main one is NAM

(The following about NAM is a standardised answer to save time, i will normally customise it but if i missed something i apologise)

NAM (network addon mod) is a fantastic mod.

It gives you a ton of new content (trams, tram in road, tram in street, tram in avenue, el rail over road, roundabouts, highway interchanges, and much much more!!)

Also you can install something called a "traffic simulator" this can change capacities of all the networks and increase the distance sims travel to something more realistic. I would choose "simulator Z" as this is the best option (more capacity, longer distance, more use Mass transit)

It is handily available on the "popular" section in the STEX (top of the first page)

There is a new one every few months.

REMEMBER to read the read me's!!! And read the installer otherwise you can make a real mess.

Most importantly, if you have a LHD "left hand drive" version of the game then install the LHD plugin (included and activated on a tick box page in the installer). If you dont you are in alot of trouble!!!

Finally, NAM requires either SC4RH (sim city 4 rush hour) or deluxe to work properly.

Also head over to the Omnibus, There are tons of tutorials to do fantastic things within the game. If you want ideas, then you can go to the City Journals section. 

I would advise that you read the rules for the site (not that you did anything wrong in your post). Dont worry if you do make a mistake, the mods will contact you about it and they (or you) can fix it.
