Middle Eastern theme

Hi guys,

I hope I posted this the right place. Apologies if I did not.

I recently lost all my plugins, and instead of going through the entire ST exchange (it's a pain downloading everything again and searching for dependencies!), I'd like to build middle eastern city - inspired by two CJ's (Khaledi democratic republic and Jaergh (spell?)).

I've been searching for middle eastern building, but I simply can't find many. Is there a special link that will lead me to this hidden treasure?

Also, how do I change the terrain to desert?

FrogFace has done some gorgeous Middle Eastern BATs, there are a total of 12 uploaded to the STEX. Other then that I would just suggest typing in search terms related to the subject matter (for example "mosque" as the search term yields some promising results); onlyplace4 has also uploaded some nice desert buildings.

As for changing the terrain to desert, there are a few terrain mods out there that do a wonderful job, I would recommend Heblem's LBT Chihuahuan Terrain Mod or teirusu's Desert Mod (I would link to them but the STEX won't let me copy and paste the address).

I have one more question though. Wouldn't the Maxis buildings be mixed with the middle eastern ones?

The BSC Block All Maxis Mod can help you with that, however you have to register on the SC4Devotion exchange (similar to the STEX), which is certainly worth it anyway.

DuskTrooper has also one block mod, but that one is not CAMpatible. See which one fits you more.
