Some of you may remember my first CJ, Windy Lake!. Due to a lot of trouble with my machine then (Damn you Vista, and you too eMachines!) I lost the whole thing. My later attempts at CJing were awful.

Windy Lake! was always my favorite, from the Wizard of Oz parody to the newspaper 'Entertainment News'. So, we'll start over again at square one. I'm starting slow, and later I will resume my style of posting updates as JPEGs to allow a broader range of fonts and art.

Let's all hope it will be something I can be proud of.

The Windy Lake Historical Society is dedicated to preserving the memory of a bygone era

in our city's history, a golden age when men were men and sheep were very nervous.

Our town just 10 short years after its founding.

Downtown was pretty much the entire town then.

Agriculture ruled the roost, and the smell of manure permeated daily living.

To use a very overused word on the STEX, more is forthcoming.

Let no one yield, we're on the field where deeds eclipse the sun; where the brave are told on a thread of gold, the tapestry is spun. As they speak of dreams, their armor gleams, this calm before the storm... Where all can see their destiny, the bishop takes the pawn.

Well, thanks for the encouraging words, everyone. I will be lurking around in your CJs as time permits, so don't think I'm a selfish CJer. Well, maybe I am... but not all the time.

Today's edition, a little short but it's been a long night. Enjoy!

I had considered that name for a story about a Dr Seuss serial killer, but went with the green eggs and ham story instead, it was a good match for St Pats. The other was a tad too dark, at least this early in the CJ. And now you beat me to the punch anyways!8.gif

Suplado: Thanks for your time, good to have you back as a viewer!

Schulmanator: And you are back here, thanks!

Tomasneto: Glad to see you here!

ComputerGuy: I hope your cheer isn't wasted!

    Nottheboss: We're all hoping...

Hawkeye9: It's easier than looking backwards at it!

Twenty20: It beats the orange and black eggs at Halloween!

    Muck308: Thank you very much!

Cosmicbaconsoap: Thanks, Mr Hazzard is just happy to walk away from a landing.

Archean: But the Photoshop job did weird things to other colors, the bridge pavements don't match!

I'm still preparing some shots for the next installment, so I'll just give you the Entertainment section of the paper this time. Cheers!

(EDIT: Yes, I know... it's spelled 'Lethargic'. Oops. That's the problem with posting this way, it's a pain in the ass to edit.)

Well, here's an updated look, it took a while as I am unfamiliar with more sophisticated image manipulation software. I'm learning, slowly.

Hope you like, had some fun with local headlines in this one.

I hijacked a few other CJ pictures, maybe I'll hijack yours too, be patient.

LOL it's actually a shot nabbed from another CJ. There's a hint of where it came from. It seems our distinguished mayor has been jet-setting around, paid for by special interest groups and corporate concerns. He regularly visits other cities, but denies there's any quid pro quo.

A new update is coming, eventually.
