Mega Towers & the such

Now as we all know there is a great number of super towers ( and just plain cool looking lesser skyscrapers)being raised all over the world. At the forefront of this march are of course the Burj Dubai in Dubai, U.A.E the Union Square Phase 7 project in Hong Kong, China, the Shanghai Financial World Center in um well Shanghai and the Freedom Tower in NYC, U.S.A .

Anywhoo, staying true to the art of replicating city building in our dear community a number of skilled batters have taken it upon themselves to attempt to erect these spectacles of ingenuity in virtual form so that they may grace the skylines of our beloved cities. 

 

With that in mind i have created this thread to be a place where we may be a resource  to batters who are looking for projects such as the ones described above the ideas, pictures, and design suggestions those of you post here do not necessarily have to be about mega towers but they must be about Skyscrapers or at least tall buildings the projects you propose do not have to be well known buildings, I want to encourage diversity in the projects so local skyscrapers that maybe ppl from only your area will know are welcome

I understand there is a resource thread for all general bat request but I was hoping to tailor this one specifically towards skyscrapers and skyscrapers alone. Didn't mean to agitate anyone so if this needs  to be removed then by all means do so, and I will try to be more careful with my posting. . But if a Moderator says its ok then I hope we can get the ball rolling on this one.

Nope. As it is now, we must have ONE BAT request thread, to keep things neat. However, I WOULD like to see an architectural discussion forum around here, just for the sake of stuff like this.

Perhaps we should start a pettition of some sort. There has been growing interest in such a forum, and ina way, it would help alleviate some of the extra BAT requests popping up.

Well with DT's petition now underway hopefully the request for the new forum will be granted and this thread or something like it will be moved there. But until  a higher up decides to do so or a moderator sees fit to close this thread please kindly post your thoughts on the original topic I would like this thread to be of some use to some one out there even if it is short lived thanx in advance.

No no don't worry about it hes right to a degree its just we all have to play a hand in keeping order. DT is just a bit more blunt then others and for that he has many peoples respect including my own . But lets not dwell on that. There is much work to be done in the mean time progress is the key to success so shall we make with the progress

The First Building to Bring up is the Burj al-Arab it serves as a luxury five star hotel in Dubai and is a building that im sure a number of you may have encountered before I do believe there is even a BAT for it but the version that i saw was slightly out of proportion
