Game updated messed my parks up

Hi all, I'm very new to simcity and I recently updated the game via simcity 4 website and now all of my parks are messed up. The flower gardens have no flowers, a lot of my parks are nothing but tiles. I have no mods installed. Can anyone help please. Thanks

Welcome to Simtropolis.  The Maxis patches reset all graphics options back to Low.  Go into the game options menu and reset graphics and other things you desire to medium or high.

Thanks so much Livin in Sim. You know, I was getting ready to quit the game just because my parks wasn't pretty anymore! I have gone as far as formating my hard drive to getting it to work again. Now I'm just waiting for the STEX DVD and can really enjoy the game. Thanks so much.
