INSTALL MAPS

Ok.  First of all, I did read the Omnibus – followed it to a “T”.  When I loaded the image, it said error size – should be 1250 x 1250, not what the actual region size was.  Tried a different map and when I loaded the image, the game crashed back to the desktop.  Tried some other maps and nothing.  Also, when it says to load existing region then load the region you downloaded, it never appears in the load region menu.  Very confused.  Any help would be great.  Again, I have already been to the Omnibus and I promise I did everything exactly like it said.

Hmmm.  This is an odd problem you are describing.  Whenever you get a size error message, this typically means that your grayscale image or config.bmp files are the wrong size.  The message you got doesn't make any sense as far as the reported size is concerned.

1250 is not evenly divisible by 64.  I would have expected the size to be either 1280 x 1280 or 1216 x 1216 -- both evenly divisible by 64.

What map are you trying to install?  Know this will be quite helpful to me in trying to get you an answer to your problem.

This may be a "last resort" attempt but you might want to consider uninstalling and reinstalling SimCity 4.
