config-log.txt records the following:

cpuSpeed = 2800

memory = 2048

freeMemory = 2048

screenWidth = 1680

screenHeight = 1050

screenBPP = 16

videoMemory = 239

textureMemory = 239

textureStages = 8

bogoFPS = 0

bogoMPPS = 0

I am curious about the bolded entries.

I have 256MB of memory, and the game is set to 32 bits.

Why the difference in values?

ScreenBPP: Color depth. The log is showing that the color depth is set to 16bit.

videomemory: Memory onboard the graphics card

texturememory: Memory onboard the graphics card that's used for storing texture data.

The reason why the video memory and texture memory are reading at 239MB instead of 256MB is probably because some of it is reserved.

Not sure why the color depth is reading at 16 when you have it set to 32. 47.gif

    I'm curious what other user's config-log says. Do they all say 16-bit?

    Hmm. Mine says 16bit too. I guess it's something with SC4.

    screenBPP = 16

    videoMemory = 736

    textureMemory = 736

    textureStages = 8

    bogoFPS = 0

    bogoMPPS = 0

    It's outdated though (generated on 7/26/2008, 20:24).
