Help with S.A.M, please

I am new to SimCity and am having problems with the S.A.M. roads.  I have tried to follow a couple of tutorial/threads I found, but still not having any luck.   

The main problem is what to do after I plop the first piece.....that seems to be where I get lost.

I would really appreciate any help you could give me.

After plopping the first piece, use the street tool and drag off of that piece. When you are finished with your network, delete the start piece and fill it in with the street tool.

you can plop in the pieces on existing streets but it doesn't work that well. go into the road menu(I think)where the roads and avenues are and select the sam starter piece then push TAB and until you have the piece you want.then plop it where you want.

Put the modd in plugins... The go to the roads menu and select SAM starter pieces press the tab key until you have the one that you want. Then use the regular street tool and drag it out so you have some of your special street. Then bulldoze the starter piece.
