Question regarding plugin folder.

When I put BATs and lots into my plugins folder, the building or lot will be displayed as a folder icon with a zipper (zipped file)

Then, once I unzip the file, I get the same folder icon without the icon directly below it meaning it is unzipped.

My question is: once I have unzipped a file, can I delete the zipped version without disrupting the custom content in play? the reason I ask is because I need to make room in my plugins folder.

 Thanks in advance

Its a good idea to keep the zip file in case you need it in the future. Since I started downloading back in December of 07 I have kepted all my zips in a master file that is now located on my external hard drive. At the end of every month I transfer all this months zips over to the master zip file. A good reason for keeping,(1) your hard drive fails,(2)after time the original may not be available on their web sight.

I also create may own readme file for every download along with a picture so I can see what in the world I have. I also keep this master file on my external hard drive.

At the first of each month I also do a backup of the current plugin file (both my documents and the maxis plugin folder)

Plus I backup the Regions folder.

This might seem like a lot of work but stuff happens.
