Update to 1.1.638 failing

Ok here's the problem:

I have played Vanilla many years, succesfully patched.

Some time ago I bought Deluxe and installed it, it was version 1.1.610 so an update was needed.

Went to the EA site, downloaded the right update, patched. BUT! When the update reached Simcity_1.dat, it said:

Old File not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match.

Then it continues, succesfully updating Simcity_2, _3, _4 and Simcity_5.dat

now, Simcity is still version .610 because it hasn't updated all files

I tried other SKU updates, the same problem appears with every update.

What to do? Re-install because my Simcity_#.dat files are corrupted?

Are you downloading and installing manually, or letting the site do it automatically? I suggest downloading to install.

Are there multiple ways? I just download UPDATE_SKU1_TO_P1_B638.EXE and run it, then it patches.

Are there more ways? In that case I'm heading to the simcity4 site at once xD

i also got that problem but mine cant update both simcity_1.dat and simcity_2.dat! need help, thanks!

i download the patch and then patches the game.
