So yeah, I wonder what the fall-out of this will be. I guess it sucks to buy a house in a neighborhood and then find out a new road that was planned a generation ago could plow right through your living room.

To me it seems like now this segment of the grand parkway doesnt stand a chance, but it still is hassle. And to those who actually wanted the new road this is a bad thing too. Both sides lose because someone didn't do the simple of act of telling the developer that there is a swath of land they shouldn't build on.

But then I know this has happened before in the Houston area. Along the Katy Freeway new buildings, shopping centers, and some houses got condemned. Also there was a situation where some people's yards turned out to be on power company property, some of them had pools, etc...

Way to go lassiez-faire don't give a s*** urban development....

Okay, so, first, you have I-610. Then you have the Sam Houston Tollway. And now this. That's three ring roads.
