Well, as the title says, I finally decided to start messing around with the BAT, but first, I'm creating my models in sketchup. Here's My first idea, the Highway over avenue. And yes, I do know that it can either be an overpowered Avenue or slow highway. It's mainly just eye candy. Now then, here's the basic model:

We'll see where it goes from here.

EDIT: How exactly do you export Sketchup Models to GMAX/BAT Files?

One thing that will be tricky about this and will require some testing is getting the top part (i believe that's the highway part) to have the same shape as SC4 Highway. Also it needs to be way higher to match up with the road bed of elevated highway.

Lastly, creating a NAM piece like this is VERY complicated. I would try something else as your first BAT honestly.

How High is the Elevated Highway in the game already? This is around 12 ft High.

Well for starters you need to start working game scale. SC4 uses meters, 16 x 16 meter tiles, and I think the highway is about 16 meters high too but it might not be exactly that much, and if it's not exactly the same it will look stupid. You will have to do some research on this one, maybe see if you can find someone who has made highway NAM pieces.

Well, I redid the whole thing, to the proper scale:

Alright, you need to add some thickness to your highway walls, I think its about .8 or .6 meters, but I don't know. Really the only good way to figure this out is to try out some roadbed heights and railing widths, simple models, export them, and place them with SC4 highway to see if they match up. Look, adjust accordingly, and test again.
