In NAM does simulator A have the exactly same functions as B, only with extended travel distances? Also, should I use simulator A or B (I prefer B so the commuters are smarter, but I also want increase travel distance)?

Also, when I was using CAM, I discovered that only the subway, elevated rail, and freight trains speed were unchanged. As a result, in my main city, more people were using buses, which caused high traffic noise problem, increase in over crowding subway/bus stations and increase in commute time. I think the subway and elevated rail train speed should be increased.

The "A" set for the Traffic Simulator settings is quite "radical", in that it allows a max commute time of three times the original (SC4, NAM Traffic_Plugin and "B" Traffic Simulators).

CAM has its own Traffic Simulator settings, and this actually "overrides" any other (SC4 or NAM) Traffic Simulator settings. However, the newest NAM contains a Cleanitol file that removes CAM's Traffic Simulator (it caused very long pedestrian trips), so that the one you selected during your NAM Installation takes effect. It will no longer be included in the new CAM. It's located under a subfolder named z_CAM. If you didn't run Cleanitol, you should remove this file manually (and uninstall any older version of NAM, as well as older traffic packs, like Transit Supermod, Transit Bug Fix, Traffic Cop etc - better run Cleanitol, it will remove all these automatically).

If you want increased use of subways and El, better build a more dense network, with more connections (residences to workplaces). For more dense cities, consider installing a Traffic Plugin (or else "Simulator") that increases capacities, I don't think it would be right to increase speeds.

The subway system in my city has two subway stations per each side of the 6x6 grid zones. Also, the subway system is based on a express system with a lot of subway tunnels. None of the subway tunnels are over crowed, except for the subway/bus stations with 8000 capacity.
