Help! - All mass transit gone!

Hi everyone,

    I started SC4 yesterday in one of my cities and all of a sudden my mass transit stopped working.  This only happens in my most recently played city.  All sims drive or walk.  When querying bus stops, subway/train stations, it shows the status all greyed out, 0% use, and rest of stats gone. If I rebuild a station, that particular station reverts back to normal and ppl can start taking mass transit again.  Mass transit funding is negative-unless I readjust the budget. 

Something of interest: I recently plopped 2 of ill tonkso's Underground Motorways in the city to simulate tunnels.  After attempting to drag roads immediately next to them, the game would freeze and shut down. When I tried to demolish them, it would collapse, but would remain no matter how many times I destroyed it. I tried raising/lowering terrain-it remained.  I finally got rid of them with a fire. After that, there were no more problems w/ demolishing or roads.
